Having defined public capital investment disbursement as an important solution to recover the economy, since the beginning of the year, the Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee has issued numerous directives to speed up the disbursement of public capital investment. However, the outcomes have lagged behind expectations. Therefore, the province needs to make concerted efforts to disburse at least 90% of the allocated capital.

Vietnam has been accelerating the disbursement of public investment since the beginning of this year after missing its target in 2022.

Ninh Binh's consumer price index (CPI) in July increased by 1.95% and 4.58% from the figures in the previous month and the same period last year, respectively. On average, the province's CPI rose by 2.46% in the first seven months of 2022, the highest level since the beginning of the year. Therefore, Ninh Binh needs to have prompt and synchronic measures to minimise the pressure of inflation in the year-end months.

The number of tourists visiting northern Ninh Binh province were again down sharply at the beginning of this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure a safe tourism environment for tourists and local people, the province has thoroughly implemented measures to prevent and control any spread of the disease.

Since the beginning of the year, the country has installed more than 19,000 rooftop solar power projects with a total capacity of 541.66 MWp, said the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN).

Vietnam saw a trade surplus of 2.59 billion USD from the beginning of the year to December 15, according to the latest statistics of Vietnam Customs.

Vietnam recorded a trade deficit of 270 million USD in the first half of November, bringing the total number since the beginning of this year to 3.86 billion USD.
